Djarot: Mostly Densely Populated Areas in Jakarta Unhealthy

There are still many unhealthy areas in Jakarta, particularly in densely populated area

Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidajat acknowledged majority of densely populated areas in Jakarta is still categorized as unhealthy environment. 

"There are still many unhealthy areas in Jakarta, particularly in densely populated area," said Djarot after he gave aid to the fire victims, Jalan D, Karang Anyar, Sawah Besar, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (2/24).

Djarot Distributes Aid to Fire Victims in Karang Anyar

According to him, mostly buildings in Karang Anyar has a size of 2x3 square meters and 3x4 square meters. The distance between one building with another is closer, thus the green open space very hard to find. Surely, it is not good for health.

Therefore, he stated, his party is going to hold a meeting with related unit. He also does not want to take hasty decisions that can harm citizens.

"We will hold a meeting, whether the village will be revitalized or relocated into the flat. It needs solution," he expressed.

Djarot uttered at this time, his party is still focused on assisting fire victims. One of them is by setting up refugee camps and distributing aid evenly.
